Don’t get water on it will cause rot to any cacti or succulent, it is better to water it from below by filling the tray under the pot. Also water every third week to mimic the desert environment of it’s natural habitat.

Thanks when I got it , it was really dry so I did water it and wet it. Should that cause any harm from that one time ?

No, it is an over time thing, so from now on just try to avoid getting water on it for the health of your rosette succulent. The also grow a lot faster when the soil is bone dry, so make sure it can stay bone dry for a while between watering to further replicate their natural habitat.

Question can a regular lamp be a grow light ?

Maybe if it is full spectrum and you can buy a grow light from dollarama for $4 or from any dollar store that are very effective and cheap.

They are bulbs that are blindingly bright and can be screwed into any regular bulb socket.
