# I bought this cactus today, it's labeled as Torch cactus,…

I bought this cactus today, it's labeled as Torch cactus, trichocereus grandiflorus. Planta didn't have that species in the database. Made me wonder if the big box nursery mislabeled it? What do you all think?

I think this is correct.

Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s mislabeled, Planta just may not have it in the database yet. Or it might go by another species. Suggest they add this new one, it should give you the option. Till they do, you can probably just have it mislabeled as another species in the genus.

Planta does not have quite a few plants. Just add something similar and custom name it

I just stalked your profile bc I wanted to see how you ended up labeling it and I have to say, your plant names are hilarious! I think DJ Leafdr0p is my fave lmao. Dumpster orchid is a close second
