# Hello lovelies 🌵 I have this plant and it’s on top of my bookshelf…

Hello lovelies 🌵

I have this plant and it’s on top of my bookshelf close to a grow light. It’s got lots of growth since I got it. Today when I was doing plant updates, I saw it has droplets of sap or something (it’s sticky) on one of the spikes. Is that a normal thing or something I should be worried about?

Thank you for any advice!

It’s putting out excess water the plant can’t use. It’s called guttation.

Ty! Is it best to wipe it off or leave it?

It’s probably better to gently wipe off to avoid collecting dust and debris.
