# This is my first winter using planta app. I mainly have trichocereus,…

This is my first winter using planta app. I mainly have trichocereus, loohophora, and gymnos. They are all in a greenhouse. The previous winter I withheld water from Nov-Apr. ran a small heater to keep from freezing. Planta app is wanting me to water during this time. Is there an option in the app for this? I know I can skip till next time. But having to do that for months seems ridiculous. Anyone have any insight on this?

If you go to your plants settings, there should be a “Custom Care Schedule” setting (it should be under where you can change the plants name). If you go there, you can set different watering schedules for the cold season and the warm season. You can then set the plant to not being watered for the cold season. The cold season on the app is October-February, so not quite until April like you usually do though, but it’ll at least make it so you don’t have to snooze until then.

This would require manually changing each plant. With almost 700 plants I can’t justify the time for that. I did however consider it. Snoozing would be less time consuming.

Geez, I didn’t realize you had so many. That’s definitely understandable, I’d probably just snooze as well in your position

There isn't a way unfortunately it'd be nice to be able to change the months and temp too. Since that schedule is flipped or different for some people

I don’t have a good solution but…I just browsed through your plants and oh my goodness. You have some beauties!!
