# Cactus got knocked over onto my succulent and one of the leafs stuck…

_Posted by Dom Persian on 2025-01-11_

Cactus got knocked over onto my succulent and one of the leafs stuck on the cactus spike. I decided to leave it there to see what would happen. This is a month later with and it’s rooting and growing new plant. I didn’t spray it with water, just left it alone.

Other succulent leaves also fell off in the collision and I placed them in a shallow dish with soil and misted them often. Dish leaves and cactus succulent leaf are all around the same stage of root and new plant growth. Very cool and interesting.

Succulent props do great on their own. They will put out new growth if a leaf falls on a dry windowsill or my concrete patio!😁 Just plant when the original leaf is almost completely dry. We kill our plants with kindness sometimes.
