# So a friend of mine has a succulent that’s in pretty bad condition.…

So a friend of mine has a succulent that’s in pretty bad condition. She was frequently overwatering it in the past before I gave her some advice. I told her this is probably some kind of disease, but does anyone know what this is specifically?

I’ve honestly never had any luck with succulents but by the looks of this I would say is been watered too much your not supposed to get the leaves wet. Pluck all leaves and put on soil and mist every other day or you can put it in a container you can propagate it that way but try more light also. You can get pretty cheap grow lights on amazon. My fav are the hallo grow light that are like 7-8 bucks. I have them everywhere.

Lol yeah, I’ve never seen a succulent get this bad before, so it didn’t immediately hit me that this was just prolonged overwatering. I thought it could’ve gotten a fungal infection from overwatering, but hopefully I can help her fix it a bit 😬

More light, less water. Pray that the roots aren't rotting. The leaves will shrivel up and die off but if the roots are still good a new rosette will form.

Yeah, it’s pretty rough. Definitely have to try to talk her about it.

Too much water \& not enough sun (6-8 hours daily). I’d be reluctant to say it’ll come back. I’d bet the roots are rotted
