# Hi! I picked up my first string of buttons yesterday and I noticed…

Hi! I picked up my first string of buttons yesterday and I noticed when I bought it that the tops were super flimsy and just fell over (see below). Is this normal or is this guy really over watered? After looking at other pics, I think that they’re supposed to be standing straight up on their own? Lol

Looks like it could be overwatered

Does the bowl have drain holes? If it does not I would get it out of that pot as soon as possible.

Agree with KJM but even if it has drain holes and soil is wet, I would repot. Get rid of the saturated soil. Maybe even let it dry out a bit while out of the pot. Depends on how wet the soil is.
