# How are you guys naming your plants? I have problem, the database off…

How are you guys naming your plants?

I have problem, the database off this app seem to have never seen the name of the plant type (if I am to trust the place that I buy them)! Is it that they are given zany names or that they are uncommon one?

My goal is to catalog them properly, it would be great to start with the proper name😞

I’d recommend just picking the “haworthia” general one they have and then naming each individual plant its full scientific name. If you need some help lmk and I’d be happy to assist in identifying them!

The rarer the variety, the more likely this app won’t have it catalogued. If you have some Echeveria variety that you can’t find for example, just record it under generic Echeveria.

I try reverse google image search to find the exact variation or name and then find it on planta! 90% of the time they usually have it on here or at least a generic version of the plant
