# Plz help a new plant girly out! I recently got a rainbow hedgehog…

Plz help a new plant girly out! I recently got a rainbow hedgehog cactus and put it in rosy houseplant soil. Should I also add some perlite or will it do ok without it. This soil has sand in it so it does have some grit. Thx:)

Checked your profile - Wow it’s so pretty! I don’t love sand as a soil additive but some people say it’s good for cacti. I just do a succulent/cactus soil mix with added pearlite, orchid bark, and pumice stones.
