# Hello! This is Georgia, and according to Planta she's a crinkle leaf…

_Posted by Mick E on 2025-08-16_

Hello!

This is Georgia, and according to Planta she's a crinkle leaf succulent (although please let me know if that might've been a mislabel). I've had her for several years (got her in college at a little RA dorm activity Soph. year), and have never really had issues. My question is abt the little fuzzy orange/brown bits growing on her (in the photo). When I've looked up crinkle leaf succulents, none of them seem to have those. Because health-wise she seems to be doing fine, I was curious about whether she might be a different type of succulent altogether, or if there's something I can do for them to not be there. Not a major deal, more of a curiosity partially bc they do fall off and it can get a bit annoying with cleanup is all. Plus, I would want to know if maybe there actually is something wrong with her health-wise so I can take better care of her.

Thank you so much !

It kind of looks like a lot of aerial roots

She looks so happy!!! Those look like aerial roots. It’s absorbing water from the air.

Thank you! It makes me so happy to hear that she looks happy :') I looked up aerial roots and it seems I shouldn't be concerned? So I guess I'll just keep letting her do her thing

It’s a type of anacampseros

You could probably repot her and lay all those roots on the soil!
