Did you just lay the leaf on top of the soil to get it to root? I planted a bunch of random succulent seeds. It surprised me how bountiful it was. I found a new fingernail polish last night, it was dirty dirt.

Yep, I just lay them on top of the dirt and forget about them. There’s enough moisture in the leaf to grow and sustain a new baby succulent. You’ll want to use an undamaged leaf that has the end in tact where it came off the plant, or you can use pieces with leaves and stem still attached. I let it callous over before I put it on my saucer. (You can find a lot of them on the ground at Home Depot or Lowe’s and it’s so weird, sometimes they just jump right into my pocket 🤷🏻‍♀️👀)
