# opuntia that i am propagating, my family has had a whole bunch of…

opuntia that i am propagating, my family has had a whole bunch of them for the past 10 years and i want to keep my own so i broke off a piece, let it callous and i potted it up. does any one have any advice on when to water after letting it callous for 3 days, and potting it up. should i water it now or wait a couple days??

Water it now so it can start to generate roots. It already has a callous. So, no need to worry about bacteria at the cut location. Let it completely drain and dry before watering again. ☘️🌵
