# Hi everyone, I’m new to the cactus and succulent group. I know very…

Hi everyone, I’m new to the cactus and succulent group. I know very little about them’s. My girlfriend gave me Jade in February and she was doing fine up until about a month ago and that’s when I noticed that she was getting very skimpy, I checked the center of the plant and all of those leaves had fallen off and this is what she looks like now, so I have a before and now. if anyone can help me save her I would really appreciate it. I did the diagnosis with Planta and followed those instructions, but that didn’t seem to help. Is there a good way to propagate what I have now. If I touch the leaves, they just fall off, most of them anyway and they seem really soft, but the soul is dry. Is it too late?
Please help me save her…

There are few roots. Best guess is overwatered. Roots have rotted away. Now the plant can’t get any nutrients. If you can find a healthy stem, they will propagate readily in soil. Part of the problem, may be the soil. It needs succulent/cactus soil.

Phil thanks so much. I will definitely get the right soil tomorrow. Wish me luck.
