# My succulent just recently sprouted but she is not doing well g well…

My succulent just recently sprouted but she is not doing well g well at all and I’ve tried everything. Does anyone have tips to help me?

What soil did you use? I use extra perlite for better drainage because some premade succulent soil doesn’t dry out fast enough

I use all purpose plant soil

This looks long gone. Use a chunky soil mix and don’t always listen to the app. Do some research and listen to that and let the app be a reminder

I use the app as a reminder to check the status of a plants water situation. If I watered and fertilized every time it says to, I’d have a bunch of rotting cactus and succulents. They need to dry completely between waterings. When they feel like they need water I usually wait a couple more days just to make sure. You are far better off underwatering than overwatering. Once root rot sets in you’re pretty much doomed. Don’t let it discourage you, it’s a learning curve like anything else. Good luck!
