Beginner to Cacti and plants in general. And am wondering what a good beginner cactus/succulent would be. I had a moon cactus and it died almost immediately due to lack of water.

Top three are 1. Prickly 2.moon cactus (which did not work for your prproblems cacause you over watered it cause u only water it once a month) and 3.crown cactus

How about a euphorbia? They look like cactus but not a true cactus. And not as prickly. Spines are usually soft. Baseball euphorbia is one of my favorites. And a moon cactus is a grafted cactus so to me it’s not a real plant. And many people lose them after several months.

A Mexican snowball (echeveria) was one of my first plants (gifted!) and is easily my fav \& most rewarding AND easiest! If you wanna check it out it’s in my profile under the Bedroom section, named Mika. The pics show it flowering now, but it’s first photo from 2 years ago was after I’d had it for a while and neglected the hell out of it before getting this app 🤣 so beginner friendly
