# My balcony doesn’t get nearly as much sun as I’d like so I’ve added…

My balcony doesn’t get nearly as much sun as I’d like so I’ve added some grow lights. What time of day would be best to have them on? The balcony probably only gets about an hour of direct sunlight in the afternoon

Probably when there isn’t enough sun. So in the morning, and then after the hour of direct sunlight it gives.

If the plants can handle it you can keep it on during day light hours but make sure you don’t burn the plants doing that.

That works! As long as your plants are healthy it’s fine. I have a pretty weak light on a plant that needs A LOT of light and is in direct sun and I just keep it on all the time.
