# Any idea how to propagate this plant? I’m not sure what kind of…

Any idea how to propagate this plant? I’m not sure what kind of succulent it is, I posted about it getting long a couple weeks ago from being in artificial light. So today, I just gave it a haircut (cut off the top of the plant that had gotten too long) and kept a couple of the clippings. They are now in a separate planter. Kind of under the soil, but I’m not sure if this is the right way to propagate the clippings. Any tips?

You are doing fine. Just leave the leaves alone and don’t water them. They will sprout a baby with the moisture in the leaf itself. The mother plant, just water as usual and it will eventually grow back a couple of heads. Slowly give it more light, so it doesn’t stretch again.

Weekly update, I don’t know why it looks so sad now :( the vibrancy in the leaves is gone, and they feel very soft and delicate now. It’s almost as if the plant got weaker from me giving it a trim
