Uh oh! I think my monkey tail has mealy bugs. What do you guys use to get rid of them?

Castile soap. 3 tbs to gallon of water.  
Remove plant from soil and pot. Remove and kill what bugs you can.  
Submerge entire plant under water for 30 mins.  
Remove and wash soap off.  
This is what I do.

Alcohol kills mealys just use a qtip dip it in alcohol and put it on the mealys. Or spray Alcohol on the whole plant every 7 days until you don't see them anymore

Do you dilute the alcohol?

Use cleaning achohol mixed with water and a paintbrush and brush them off
