I pulled this stem from a pile of off cuts near my school and was wondering if I could nurse this back into a healthy Aloe Vera plant.

When I got it it had some leaves (branches?) but someone mutilated it while I was occupied and I don’t know if it’s a lost cause or not.

I know nothing about the health of it before I got my hands on it and would appreciate any help/info I can get, thank you.
