Hi I’m new to plants and wondering what equipment if any equipment is needed thank you  
And this is how my plants currently look like so please say what I could do to improve.

I use a Soil Moisture Sensor Meter I got from Amazon. I keep track of my plants with the app, but even when the app says it’s time to water, I check it first with the water meter. It’s not a necessity, but I have some plants where it was too big or too difficult to stick a finger in the soil to check.
