# I have an echeveria I purchased online about two months ago who…

I have an echeveria I purchased online about two months ago who appears to be spontaneously deteriorating. It looks like it’s been overwatered, however when it started dropping leaves it hadn’t been watered for 21 days and its soil and roots were bone dry. I figured why not try giving it some water and see what happens but even more leaves turned yellow-brown/translucent. I have it planted in a shallow pot (with drainage, under a grow light with three other echeverias who are all thriving minus some minor etoliation from back when I had the grow light too far away. Anyone know what’s going on here?
Side note, all the leaves that have dropped have been on one side of the plant.

The pot is very wide but extremely shallow. So there’s only about 3 inches of soil. I can feel with my finger all the way to the bottom and it’s dry all the way through

Have you had a look at its roots? There could be some rot on the roots?

I did inspect the roots, and they all appear to be healthy. No black or dark squishy parts.
