Got this Christmas cactus a few days ago and soil started to turn white/gray??? What is this??

Looks like mold from soil being moist.. it’s nothing outta the normal. You can sprinkle cinnamon onto the soil, or use a peroxide mixture to prevent that.

I’d scrape what ya can from the top of the soil first.
