# Happy Sunday! I got this succulent from a mystery propagation box…

_Publicado por Howie el 2023-10-01_

Happy Sunday! I got this succulent from a mystery propagation box online and it was labeled as “Vera Higgins (Graptosedum)”. It’s doing really well and has a lot of roots so I decided on adding it to Planta. My problem is I don’t see it on the Planta catalog. Anyone know what option I should choose?

I believe it’s an Echeveria Fleur Blanc?

Vera Higgins has other names per google. See the pic. Save it under Graptosedum Bronze. Bronze shows up when searching for Vera Higgins.

Yes, this is what I found on Planta when I looked up the name I was given. I don’t know why I’m hesitant to add my plant as this one. I think it has something to do with the difference in foliage color.

That bronze color is its tan to protect the plant from sunburn. It’s called sun stress. It gets a brick coppery color with extra sun.

More info that Vera Higgins is the same as Graptosedum Bronze. You can also google sun stressed succulents to get more info.

That’s so cool! I didn’t even know that sun stress was a thing! But that makes so much for sense now. Thank you for all the wonderful information! I’m definitely going to be looking into it more. 😁

You are welcome!
Sun stressed plants are very popular and can increase the price of some plants.

Or like my Echeveria Orion. Just too soon to tell. But it is an Echeveria.

It does not look like one of these or my other sedum.

It does actually look a lot like this one! My plant has thicker leaves than the first two you shared and this plant here for sure looks the most similar to mine.
