Pictured here in glory and in death is Sixteen Bucks. This was my first Copiapoa, purchased on Etsy last year from a seller with a deceptive listing. “Pictured with the pot it is in” and then “ships bare root” and some other contradictory info you would still have to mentally negotiate to understand it comes sans pot. I believe I used the sentence “why would I pay $16 for a rootless nub?” I mean, I will pay that again at some point I’m sure, but that’s not the point lol.

So, goodbye. It is half the diameter as when I started. I see one tiny little thing happening underneath, which could be a child or mold; the babies on another of my Copiapoa were exactly the green and white color spectrum generally represented by mold; if you were told to draw mold, that’s how the gooey, forming children appear.
