# After some research, I decided that it would be better to propagate…

_Posted by Michelle on 2023-09-30_

After some research, I decided that it would be better to propagate my jade plant cutting in soil rather than water. So after letting it callous, I stuck it in some soil for 2 weeks but nothing happened.. (it was succulent soil so it might've just been too dry?) BUT 2 days ago I caved and stuck it in water and this is already the result! For succulents I am usually a soil propagator so I don't know much about water prop or how long this will last but very excited 😆

Omg I’m so interested! I might have to try this myself lol

I was honestly shocked at how fast it rooted in water! Not sure if it'd have the same result with leaf props though
