# Hi, does anyone know what these brown tiny spots are on this…

Hi, does anyone know what these brown tiny spots are on this succulent (Gasteraloe) ? It looks like the white bumps turned brown or something. Could it be from sun burn? Or maybe overwatering? It sits by a west facing window so receives part sun/shade. I don’t really like the soil it’s in, I think it may need a better draining soil, but I’ve been traveling for work so I don’t have any of my plant supplies with me :/ it looks like it’s mainly on the outside leaves; all the new growth in the center still looks healthy, and all white bumps.

I once put my aloe vera in bright direct sunlight, and the outer sides of some of the leaves turned brown so maybe it’s sun burn? But I’m not an expert so I’m not 100% sure. I moved it a but further away and no new “burns” happened but that’s just my experience

If it spreads out you might have a fungus. Like Via said you should move it and watch it for signs of infection. I don’t want to alarm you, just spread some old wisdom. Blessed Be 😊

I’m going to move it back a bit like Via suggested but I’ll also monitor it to see if it continues to spread. If it is a fungus do you have any tips on how to treat it?
