Copiapoa has been an interest of mine since I read about their adaptability in a climate often compared to Mars, the Atacama desert in Chile, where plants use coastal fog for moisture.

These are slow-growing, and this little one has done pretty much nothing but be cool and make me wonder how TF I simulate a fog desert.

I knocked this one over months ago and noted at least one tubular root, but what looked like bright-colored mold. And, I knocked it over again last night.

Hey, guess what? The mold was a drop of baby goo that turned into these pups.
