# It’s time to repot my Christmas cactus. I read or heard somewhere…

_Pubblicato da Barb il 2023-08-12_

It’s time to repot my Christmas cactus. I read or heard somewhere (can’t for the life of me recall the source) that they may not do as well in “cactus blend” soils.
So my question is, is this true? Should I repot with a cactus mix? Or would my aroid mix be better? (
25% Orchid bark, 25% perlite, 20% coco coir, 10% charcoal, worm castings, \&black gold)

I’ve heard they thrive in an aroid mix!

I use regular soil with added perlite. Half and half usually depending on the plant.

holiday cacti are epiphytes so any coarse, well draining mix should do well
