This is Sigmund, as in Sigmund and the Sea Monsters - you can see the resemblance.

Sigmund started off with a flower AND a miniature present on its head in 2021. He started off 2022 in a pot with no drainage that was then accidentally exposed to torrential rain. Here he is. I’m still not 100% on the species, but here he is.

Do you know what those white specs are? I have a cactus that gets them once in a while. I took an alcohol q-tip to mine. I was worried they could be the start of something. It’s doing fine now.

If you mean the white chunks, that is glue that held the fake flowers ha.

Oh good. Lol. Unfortunately mine wasn’t. Mealy bugs I think. They kept coming back.

Yeah, that is another theory lol. It grew into this crazy shape, which is so not what a Red Torch does.
