Would anyone know if my Christmas Cactus will bloom again? When I first purchased this pretty lady she had the red flowers, but they eventually fell off. This December will be my 2nd year with her and still no new blossoms😢.

Is it still in the same pot when you bought it? If so it’s soil might be depleted and need a refresh and/or a bigger pot if it is root bound.

I think I’ll take your advice and repot her…she is in the same pot I purchased her in…thank you!

It will rebloom. Mine blooms between November and December every year and sometimes maybe in February. Keep following the app. And please don’t overwater. I’ve had mine for a number of years and then a friend gave me a little one that blooms around Easter and even though it had a rough start it is thriving now. So don’t give up😊

Also mine are about 3 feet from a west facing window.

I’m going to repot her, but is it necessary to use a succulent soil?

I would use succulent soil. And plenty of drainage.

Putting pea gravel at the bottom of the pot should help with drainage and help prevent over saturation.

This looks like a Thanksgiving cactus not a Christmas cactus. My opinion is based on the thorny looking edges. Either way, you can “force” the blooms like the growers. They simulate the end of year environment of the cactus in the wild. This means longer cooler nights and dryer weather. Yours look dry enough. Maybe too dry. You can ensure it gets at least 12 hours of darkness by dropping a dark cloth over it to block room light in the evenings. Give bright light during the day. Growers start about two months before the Thanksgiving sales. They go back to regular watering about one month before selling.

I have a Queen of the Night which I often force to bloom. They are jungle cactus type. I just stop watering a week or two. The plant shoots out flower buds shortly after watering and feeding resumes.

I have 2, they usually bloom around the same time each year, if you take care of them right. There are probably ways to make them bloom sooner, but the flowers should come back eventually.

Try natural fertilizer plants LOVE it but please if you do invest in this method make sure you do ample research on what you will be caring for!

Also with cactus in my experience I water through, water till it comes out the drainage and let that sit for a good hour or so make sure you always check drainage from time to time just incase she still has some more to throw away!
