# This is Chet, named after the monstrous, amazing, art class style…

_Opslået af Dave\_opuntiaface den 2023-07-26_

This is Chet, named after the monstrous, amazing, art class style “pot.” In case you’re wondering, most of the pot is filled with rocks with about 3 inches of space for Chet’s deep roots to breath.

You’ll note that another is leaf coming up the wrong direction. It’s not a split, but a twin. I considered digging Chet out to give more space to stretch, but he is pretty lodged in - like a hermit crab.

Included is also how this species \*could\* look if we stopped picking at our plants :)

Also note my temporary “little guys playground” I tried out for a few weeks. It was too awkward to deal with.

It was a pretty great thrift find. It’s also an example of doing a “I meant to do that” when putting this guy in here. That pot - though very aerated on the bottom - gets a bit warm to the touch in a few hours of sun, but these guys can support 105 degrees (I’m trying to remember that source, but I trusted it 😇). Instead of melting, this pot + 85 degrees in May gave Chet a pinkish hue and a hidden twin.

Speaking of 100 F, I saw these two behind me. The one on the right is loving life.

Haha bra head. It is one of a set of movies in that era that set me up for failure in thinking I could magic or martial art into a different life. That’s supposed to be funny (but trueeee)

I would also include The Fly in those. I learned his mistake. I got this. No more airplanes.

While I’m rambling while running past to yell “hey, how’s it going?” this one is calling to me

…curious if anyone under the age of 30 will even get that. 🤓

I didn’t notice the resemblance for a long while until someone pointed it out. It looked very headless Godzilla with no head ha. “A pork sandwich, served in a greasy ashtray.”
