Does the container have drainage? If not it could be waterlogged leaves that then got sunburned because they were soft in those spots.

It doesn’t have drainage. So I should repot it and put it in a shadier spot?

Yes repot with drainage and add some sand or perlite to the soil to make it drain even more. It doesn’t need a shadier spot, it just needs the soil to dry out faster so leave it where it is once you repot and new leaves will be healthier. Don’t water it the day your repot if the roots are wet. Wait a week. 👍🏻
