# Question about Melocactus. Full sun? Any success growing one indoors?…

Question about Melocactus. Full sun? Any success growing one indoors?

It’s one of my favorites, but the requirements make it something I wouldn’t recommend or give to anyone without that person having experience in patience.

I’m certain I haven’t met heat needs that mirror Brazil. It looks healthy and all, but I’m wide-eyed every time a little more red pokes out. Additionally, though, that high school ceramics project pot gets hot to the touch in the sun. Lesson learned. It’s still a great pot.

I reckon it’s still young, but I’m thinking of the future ☺️
