Reading about watering…do I really need to NOT use tap water for my cacti and succulents that are house plants?

most succulents do not care about water quality, since in their native environment this’d likely lead to their decline and death

I use tap

I use distilled when I can, but it hasn’t been manageable since plant 40 or so. This year has been about 50% distilled, some tap water, and a few rain storms. I’m also a very recent convert of wait and see because these plants might outlive me if I can stop rushing them :)
