You could give it food and my moon cactus hasn’t changed either except give of buds

The pot doesn’t look like it has any drainage and I would try a much more chunky soil

When you read about Moon Cactus it says that they’re usually sold grafted with another type of cactus on top and we’re just used to seeing them together.
