Progress post on my Fizzle Sizzle flower development! I can hardly wait for it to fully open! It almost looks like one bud is yellow and another bud is peach or orange colored! How exciting!

Problem is with letting the flower is that when the flowering cycle is over the curly leaves go brown and fall off or go droopy or brown. (plant isn’t gone just dormant and will grow back) but the plant goes into dormancy and drops its leaves. For some reason if you get rid of flowers before they bloom you can prevent the leaves from going brown . I made this mistake this year, I was too late and my fizzle sizzle has lost a few leaves and looks a little tipsy but hanging on 😂 In the past I removed the flower stalk and they stayed curly and green.

Oh doh! Yeah that makes perfect sense. Hmm at this point I feel like I’m in it for the flower! Might be worth loosing the spirals till next year.  
But good to know so I don’t think i killed it when that happens! Thanks for the heads up!
