My Moon Cactus got crown rot 😢 I had to throw it out. Just so you know crown rot is basically when black spots show on your plants. It can spread to other plants through air, roots touching other roots, and if you or something else touch another plant.

😢 I’m sorry to hear that. I rescued a bunch of bonsai that had that, probably due to bad storage conditions. I treated them with a fungicide over the course of three weeks and it worked wonders. I did also keep them away from the rest of my plants for six weeks.

I was wondering if because I took off like six baby’s off of my moon cactus could that be why it got crown rot?

I’m not sure, but if there were any “open” parts after taking off the babies and you took them all at once, it might not have had the energy to callus over properly. If the spots remained moist, it could have caused rot. But it could be other things, as well.
