# My variegated jade keeps shriveling up and I can’t figure out why??…

My variegated jade keeps shriveling up and I can’t figure out why??  
It’s in the same light as all my succulents, gets watered at the same time (ground watering, every other week), it has the same soil. But for some reason the only time I’ve gotten it to thrive is through water propagations??? I tried soil propagating it and they all died. I even planted one of the propagations I was super proud of and it ALSO shriveled up and died!!! It’s JUST the stems too! The leaves are completely fine and healthy!
