Does anyone know what type of succulent this is? I started noticing what appears to be dried up spots today, any ideas why?

Thats what succulents do in time of drought. You probably under-watered it a few times. Try customizing your watering schedule to be a few less days between when Planta says to water until you stop seeing dried leaves. (Take the dead ones off now so you don’t get confused if those are new or old.
