# I bought this Bishops Cap (astrophytum myriostigma) today. When I got…

I bought this Bishops Cap (astrophytum myriostigma) today. When I got it, the flower bud was closed up fairly tight, similar to the google pic, I left it in the car for a couple of hours with the windows cracked, but about 77° in MO.  
I came back and the flower popped out!! Then after being home for a while, it’s closed back up.  
I’m trying for find info on this behavior but not having much luck.

Sounds right to me! With the right light, day blooming cactuses generally do this a few times before the flower dies
