I don’t think so, mine look like those too. The outer leaves feed the new leaves and look pretty wrinkly as they shrivel. It’s a bad rumor that they don’t need water. I water them once a week with a little squirt bottle so I can get the soil wet but not get the leaves wet. Growers don’t take it as seriously and use a spray hose on a gentle setting and lightly water them. Jane Evans is the expert on these plants and has a seminar on YouTube that I recommend to everyone. Good luck 👍🍀

Every single person I know with Lithops - including me - has a little trick that seems counterintuitive, but totally works for them - and possibly work for everyone else. I do believe these plants purposely mess with us.

Like…shh but I water when they’re flowering. All the time. I would get an F at the Lithops factory, but I would defend my choice :)

They’re splitting into their new bodies, which happens in North American Fall/Winter. Generally, the top (the part opening) will be soft as the new body emerges. New body slowly consumes old body and then turns pretty in the Summer. It repeats every year. Apologies if you already knew all that lol.

Without seeing these in person, I would advise to wait and watch. It’s easy to spot a dying Lithops because they will turn to mush very quickly, and the way to make it mush is overwatering (they will die even quicker if watered and then left in shade or cold).
