# So whilst inspecting my large cactus from my previous post, the…

So whilst inspecting my large cactus from my previous post, the entire body of it crumbled under its own weight and was very clearly rotted throughout from years of no drainage (I'm a bad plant mum). I have just propagated these 2 babies from it, the photos show where I cut them. Do they look okay? Or are they doomed too?

They look a bit rough. I'd just try to keep them dryer, in a gritty mix, we'll draining. To see if they'll callus up. You could spray them down with a 1:3 peroxide dilution to try to mitigate any rot too
