I haven’t had my succulent very long it’s already stretching and growing taller, should I put it outside to get more sunlight that is needs, would it help with stopping it getting leggy?

Agreed, but ease it outside. Don’t just throw it into full sun from inside. Find a place that is partial shade for a few days then go for it!
