Looks like Echinopsis aurea

Looks like a very short version or a very young version of a Tooth Pick Cactus.

I received mine in 2019 from my Sister and Brother-In-Law and he was about an inch taller than yours.

My T.C. Is now 15” tall from dirt to tip of the tallest pick. T.C. exists with a Prickly Pear Snowy Hair cactus.

Could be. But I doubt it, especially because Home Depot sells toothpick cacti, that are bigger.
