# My peace lily is giving me mixed signals. I’ve cut off a million dead…

My peace lily is giving me mixed signals. I’ve cut off a million dead leaves and am left with these unsightly stumps, but at the same time several new leaves are growing and it has a flower for the first time in over a year. I recently moved it away from the window because I thought maybe the leaves that were turning black were getting too cold, and I plan to water with distilled water moving forward, but I’m at a loss. What do I do with the stumps from the dead leaves? Why are the leaves turning black? 😭 it had fungus gnats but it was not a bad infestation at all and that was over a year ago as well.

Interesting. I just had to cut one of my peace Lillie’s all the way back and start it over because it was giving me trouble. Good luck.

I’ve had absolutely no peace with my peace lily. Almost all of my edges are browning.

I gave up on it. Basically all of the leaves turned black.
