Ping repotting day today! Split a couple of pings that had pups and potted them up into their fresh new homes. Excited to see how they develop over the next few months

What is the media mix you are using for these? I am waiting for some pings to come in shipping 😄

The mix I used here is equal parts pumice, turface (calcined clay) and silica sand (sold as pool filter sand here). I have another container with pings which has drainage but sits in a tray that I top up with water. For that one I didn’t buy anything special, just used what I had on hand and it’s been working incredibly well too. The substrate is also an inorganic mix: 1 part granite, 2 parts pumice, 3 parts small black scoria, 4 parts coarse+smaller perlite. That was the last of my pumice at the time - if I had had more I would have used more of it and less perlite or skipped the perlite all together.
