# Hey all. My friend's Venus Fly Trap has started drop mouths and turn…

Hey all. My friend's Venus Fly Trap has started drop mouths and turn black/yellow. Any thoughts? We have it in a window with the blinds up and as far as I know she's been watering it with distilled water. The only thing I can think of maybe we're under watering? My friend has been watering once a week, but I tell her every 2-3 days.

It’s definitely under watered. If she can’t keep up with 2-3 days, I would keep it in a small dish with 1/4 inch water in it all the time

Their natural habitat is a swamp in South Carolina
