# Question about dormancy. So I saw that you should skip dormancy if…

Question about dormancy. So I saw that you should skip dormancy if the plant is weak or a baby. My plant was almost dead from the place I got it and has just started to grow new leafs and traps and I don’t want to wreck that. Should I skip dormancy and just let it have a light dormancy, should I have a late dormancy, or should I just put it in dormancy regardless? Thanks

If it doesn’t go through dormancy it will shorten the life of the plant long term. You can skip it if you prefer but it just won’t live as long. Usually preference.

is it okay to let it just go dormancy from the light cause it’s weak? I’m that’s my question

You can skip it once as to make sure it grows strong enough to live for now, but afterwards it’s best to let it go dormant when needed
