# over the moon about my venus fly trap blooming! i added in the photos…

over the moon about my venus fly trap blooming! i added in the photos the fertilizer i use for \*all\* of my carnivorous plants. if anyone is struggling with a dormant carn plant, try it out!! my plants have never been happier

Thank you :) I keep it about 1 foot from my west facing (only window i've got) on a plant stand with sheer curtains. It's potted in a generic carnivorous plant mix and is only bottom watered hence the yogurt cup lol.  
As per temperature, its roughly 74 degrees indoors (but 100+ out) and humidity (off my hygrometer) is at around 55%.  
I've had it for a little over 1/2 a year now so i think the hormone to cause the plant to flower is in the fertilizer

Also! im collecting its seeds (as it's producing them since it's flowering) and im just keeping them in a damp paper towel in a bag (distilled water) in my window. does anyone have experience with vft from seed 👁

I killed my fly trap twice… I’m scared to raise it again….
