Hello! I am new to carnivorous plants. And I am about to get a flytrap. I was wondering what there is I need to know about this plant, tips, etc. I live in a dryer climate btw.

A lot of sun, water with little to no minerals (I use zero water filter), making sure to use the right soil!

People use different types of water such as rainwater they’ve collected, reverse osmosis, or distilled. A lot or maybe all (?) carnivorous plants like to sit in water so people usually water their plants from the bottom and have it up to about an inch.

I bottom water every 2-3 days.

yes! it’s horrible but mealworm flies and other things like that work
